TOP 10 DLC GAMES TO PLAY WITH NON-GAMERS![]() Posted by Fred Rojas on Mar 16, 2009 11:19 (255 days ago) |
Regardless of your situation, every gamer will eventually be faced with the moment when the non-gamers in their life want to play a video game with them. It's tough to pick something on modern day consoles and PCs that'll be on your shelf and readily available for these people. Sure there's Rock Band, but unless they've played before, people can get quite frustrated with the rock/rhythm genre and not everyone's down for karaoke. For those moments, I present my list of the best DLC games to play with these non-gamers.
10. Portal (PC, 360) - This first person puzzler is probably a little difficult for most non-gamers, but that doesn't mean they can't help you brainstorm the solution. Portal makes you think in a very different way, has simple but difficult puzzles and can be completed in 2-3 hours. This is ideal for "teammate" gaming in the same room.
Cost: $15 (1200 MS Points)

If you own a Wii, the virtual console is chock full of similar types of games. Heck, there are also plenty of random remakes on PSN and PC has both consoles beat. If the familiarity of an old school console game makes your non-gamer friend more comfortable, there are plenty of options.
Cost: $5-$10 (400-800 MS Points, 500-1000 Wii Points)
