Capcom has revealed the results of their recent public poll to decide how consumers would get their hands on the upcoming alternative edition content for Resident Evil 5.
The poll which Capcom posted on their community blog about a month ago drew in around 2,400 voters who voted that the Alternative edition content should be released as DLC rather than a new retail version. 1500 voted DLC whilst 900 opted for a full retail release.
Announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Capcom revealed this content would include a new chapter that tells the story of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine infiltrating a mansion as seen in the games flashback sequences. Capcom are also saying that more content will come with this DLC which they’re keeping close to their chests.
The game will be released in Japan through retail whereas North America and Europe will see the content made available on Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Store sometime in Spring 2010.
